How does a tapping stick alert you areas of termite activity?

The termite tapping stick is used as a preliminary tool to check the timber density around your home. Termites typically eat from inside out and by tapping the timber we can determine if there is evidence of underlying damage.  We then follow through with further tests to detect termite activity.

The tapping sticks are usually made of a fibreglass rod with a small plastic ball at the end. The Just Termite team is experienced at interpreting the different sound of hollowed out wood.
